Ballet Freaks-How I Got into the Academy of Ballet
Another critique was talking about the teaching method at Academy of Ballet. Frankly could not agree with this critic as truly one of the greatest parts about this ballet academy is the warm, Musikkteater friendly atmosphere that is foster here. As a young student, never once did I feel scolded or harassed by an instructor (who, incidentally is a former top-level rival ). This was an academy since 1977 and through my seven years as a pupil there have been very few incidents of this nature. The other positive thing about this area is the fact that many levels of dancers are catered for here, which is another thing that I love about doing it.
I had been asked to compose a review and share my thoughts about Zorya's ballet class. Initially I was hesitant to do so but I understood that when she had been a good teacher then this would be a favourable review. In the end, it was a personal encounter and that I thought it would be unfair not to put it in the start. Therefore I started thinking about my expertise in the class and how I enjoyed the instructor.
Zorya brought up the name of her late father repeatedly when teaching in the academy and she explained that this is something that he always encouraged her to do. I had been shot by his enthusiasm for his enthusiasm for assisting young dancers create their skills. When I had been taking courses in the academy under his tutelage, he was come into my ballet class just after I had set out in my very first dance lesson and spent a few weeks . This was a very special touch. He also worked in his own classroom and invited me to take my studies seriously.
It was obvious from the manner Zorya spoke of her parents, both of whom she had never fulfilled, they were proud of her. They were both warm helpful and encouraging and offered plenty of support within my first few years in the academy. I liked spending time together and chatting to them in my dancing life and their family experiences. These new buddies made an immediate effect on me since I had not met any before in my dance courses. They mixed an engaging kind of teaching using a genuinely caring attitude. These two qualities are quite a blessing and I am so thankful that Zorya and her parents did the academy a excellent service by giving me such fabulous new friends to spend time with!
Another part of Zorya's character, that I found very inspiring was her passion for the art form. The academy is ideal to providing opportunities for young dancers to develop their abilities and techniques. My expertise as a ballet student has taught me that the key to learning is having fun and loving teaching as far as doing. Zorya's reassuring words as she encouraged me to test out different kinds of teaching and the exciting way in which she invited me to try different teaching styles which makes it clear to me that she truly loved her job and loved becoming an instructor.
What I found in her application for a teaching credential was that she had written a narrative citation needed to make an application for a teaching position in the academy. This story citation contained her love of dance and her urge to teach dance. It was great to see and extremely descriptive of her nature and dance. I found myself genuinely motivated by her story and her passion for dancing. It certainly made me think otherwise about amateurs generally.
I also found it quite inspiring to see that the academy provides classes for all skill levels. I was blown away by this because, quite frankly, I have always felt somewhat intimidated by dance classes. I'd have loved to know there was a means to progress from a beginner dancer into a beginner and then the ladder up into the amount of professional dancers. It's also wonderful to find that the academy promotes its own listeners to feel and act like professionals within their chosen field. In fact, the only need to join the academy is a dance and a completed dance questionnaire. No previous experience is crucial to sign up!
In the long run, I am rather pleased to be part of the revolutionary association and I look forward to each course and each performance opportunity offered to me personally as a dance artist in the Academy of Ballet in New York.
